Explanation Regarding Concentration-Specific Elective Course

In semester 4, students can choose one of the four concentrations offered by the Management Study Program below:

  1. Concentration in Marketing Management;
  2. Concentration in HR Management;
  3. Concentration of Financial Management; and
  4. Concentration in Operations Management

with prerequisite that they have passed the Advanced Marketing Management, Advanced HR Management, Advanced Financial Management, and Advanced Operations Management Courses. Based on the choices set, students will take four Concentration Courses in semester 4 and one Concentration Seminar Course in semester 6.

 

Explanation Regarding General Elective Courses

Students can take one of five general elective courses offered by the Management Study Program below:

  1. Agribusiness Financial Management;
  2. Agribusiness Retail Marketing;
  3. Agribusiness Supply Chain Management;
  4. Organizational Change and Development; And
  5. Sharia Economics

in semester 4 or semester 6. There are no prerequisite courses in choosing general elective courses.

 

Bachelor Thesis

In accordance with the Guidelines for Implementing Education at the University of Jember and the Guidelines for Implementing Education at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Jember, students can program their bachelor thesis if they have taken a minimum of 120 credits, PP ≥ 90%, and GPA ≥ 2.00. The Management Study Program also requires that students can program their final project if they have passed with a minimum grade of C in the Research Methodology and Concentration Seminar Courses. Furthermore, students can register for Bachelor Thesis and Comprehensive Exams if they have taken all the compulsory, elective, and Community Service (KKN) Courses.

 

Evaluation of Study Success

Evaluation of the implementation of education at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Jember is carried out through evaluation of study results, evaluation of learning outcomes, and evaluation of the learning process in various educational components from each track, level, and type of education as a form of accountability for education delivery. Evaluation of the Undergraduate Academic Program is carried out at the end of each semester, end of the second semester, end of the fourth semester, and end of study.

 

a. End of Semester Evaluation

This evaluation aims to determine the study load that may be programmed in the following semester, which is based on the grade point achieved.

 

b. Second Semester Final Evaluation

This evaluation aims to determine the eligibility of students to continue their studies in accordance with the provisions. Students are declared eligible to continue their studies if the number of credits that have been collected is at least 16 credits without E, DE or D grades, with a GPA ≥ 2.00, and PP ≥ 90%.

 

c. Fourth Semester Final Evaluation

This evaluation aims to determine the eligibility of students to continue their studies. Students are declared eligible to continue their studies if they get at least 40 credits without E, DE and D grades, with a GPA ≥ 2.00.

 

d. Evaluation of Two Consecutive Semesters

If a student temporarily stops studying without permission for 2 (two) consecutive semesters, then the student concerned is declared to have resigned or his/her rights as a University of Jember student are declared lost.

 

f. Final Evaluation of the Study

The final evaluation of the study aims to determine student graduation. Undergraduate Program students are declared to have passed if they meet the following requirements:

  1. Has taken a minimum of 144 credits and passed the bachelor thesis and comprehensive exam without E and DE grades;
  2. GPA ≥ 2.00; PP ≥ 90%; and
  3. University Course Score ≥ C.
